Foreign seismologists at Republican Centre of Seismic Service

Baku, September 17 (AZERTAC). Seismologists from foreign countries visit the “Baku” station of Republican Centre of Seismic Service (RCSS) of Azerbaijan National Academy of Science.

According to RCSS, specialists on seismology from Turkmenistan, Russia and Panama took part in the acquaintance meeting.

RCSS director general, PhD in geology-mineralogy Gurban Yetirmishli informed the foreign guests about the seismic stations with satellite connection and their working principles.

Expressing their interest in mutual cooperation Chariyev, director of the Institute of Seismology of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan said that Azerbaijan’s science of seismology has developed very much. We think that your experience may be used by various countries.

Yetirmishli stressed that the cooperation between two countries is of great importance and there are greater opportunities for exchange of views.
