French website hails Azerbaijan`s tourism potential
Baku, April 23 (AZERTAC). French “Intermedes” website has posted an article praising Azerbaijan`s tourism potential.
Headlined “Azerbaijan`s capital Baku, new Eden?”, the article provides an insight into Azerbaijan`s historical and cultural heritage, old and new architectural complexes.
The article says that “once an important hub on the historical Silk Way, Azerbaijan now attaches special importance to developing its tourism industry”.
The newspaper lauds the Azerbaijani government`s strategy to develop non-oil sector, particularly tourism in the country.
The article says Baku is rapidly modernizing, with beautiful architectural buildings emerging in all parts of the city.
It features Baku`s most distinguished landmarks, including Ichari Shahar, which was listed among UNESCO`s world historical monuments in 2000, and Flame Towers.
