INDONESIAN PARLIAMENTARY DELEGATION VISITİNG AZERBAIJAN UNIVERSITY OF LANGUAGES
Baku, April 22 (AZERTAC). Indonesian parliamentary delegation led by Deputy Chairman of House of Representatives Pramono Anung Vibon has met today students and teaching staff of Azerbaijan University of Languages.
Attending the meeting, rector of the University Samad Seyidov praised the relationship between Azerbaijan and Indonesia.
He stressed the necessity of development of education cooperation between the two countries.
Seyidov said the “Indonesian language is taught in our University, and we want the Azerbaijani language to be studied in Indonesia, as well.”
“It will also contribute to raising awareness of Azerbaijan`s realities in Indonesia,” he added.
Pramono Anung Vibon, in turn, said “though our countries are geographically distant, we have close relations.”
He stressed the importance of increasing exchange of students between the two countries` higher education institutions.
Touching upon the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Vibon said “we support Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity.”
Azerbaijani ambassador to Indonesia Ibrahim Hajiyev was present in the meeting.
