INTERNATIONAL ECOLOGICAL CONFERENCE DUE IN GABALA
Baku, July 3 (AZERTAC). The agenda of the international ecological conference due in Gabala on 5-7 July has been made public.
in the Ministry of ecology and natural resources, The seminar of experts will be conducted on July 5-6. Questions of protection of biodiversity in countries of Eastern Europe and the Central Asia, planning of national and regional activity in this area will be discussed at 4 sessions.
The conference titled “Biodiversity and achievement of the purposes of development of the Millennium” will take place on July 7. Several “round tables” are expected to be held on the sideline of Conference.
The conference is conducted by the government of Azerbaijan and the United Nations Program on environment at the level of ministers of environment of the countries of Europe and experts, on preparation for regular session of UN General Assembly on biodiversity.
The Conference is said to be attended by ministers of environment of the European states, UN environment program managers, biodiversity experts.
