International medical tourism congress kicks off in Baku
Baku, November 8 (AZERTAC). A 1st international Turkey-Azerbaijan health and thermal tourism congress organized by Azerbaijan Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Turkish “MedicalPark”, “Millennium” and “AG Medical Travel” organizations has today started in Baku.
Opening the Congress Azerbaijan Health Ministry`s representative professor Alishirin Musayev said Azerbaijan and Turkey had a great potential for development of health and thermal tourism.
Speaking about Azerbaijan-Turkey relations in medical field and Azerbaijan`s prospects for development of medical and thermal tourism Musayev said this international congress would contribute to the development of this field.
Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ismail Alper Coskun also noted there were great opportunities for development of health tourism.
The Turkish prime minister's adviser Hamdi Sengel touched upon Azerbaijan’s development in short period of time and its significance for the all Turkic world.
Some 20 Turkish hospitals were represented in the congress that will last till November 20.
