Junior Eurovision: Georgia announces selection procedure

Baku, June 14 (AZERTAC). The winning country of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2011, Georgia, opened the submission for their upcoming national pre-selection for the Junior Eurovision 2012 that will be held in the Netherlands on December 1st.

Young stars aged from 10 to 15 years old from across Georgia can apply to take part in the Junior Eurovision national final. The deadline for submitting a song from children repertoire, a photo and a CV ends on June 29. The date for the national final will be announced later.

With 154 points, Georgia`s group Bzikebi was chosen as the winner of the 2008 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with the song Bzz... It was the sixth running of the event, which was a co-production of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), Cypriot broadcaster CyBC and UNICEF.

Candy — a group of five teenagers from Georgia — has won the Junior Eurovision-2011 Song Contest.
