Ministries of internal affairs of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan boost cooperation
Baku, June 16 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s minister of internal affairs, colonel-general Ramil Usubov met with newly appointed ambassador of Uzbekistan Sherzod Fayziyev.
Azeri minister congratulated the ambassador on appointment and hoped Azerbaijani-Uzbek relations would be further strengthened.
The minister told of problem the country faced after regaining its independence, violation of territorial integrity as a result of Armenian aggression, reforms being implemented in all sectors of the country, including law-enforcement bodies, new laws and fighting criminality. Usubov said due to the stability a good condition was created for making huge investments in Azerbaijan`s economy.
He said thanks to the reciprocal visits of the heads of states the relations between the two friendly countries reached a new level. Usubov recalled his official visit to Uzbekistan in last September and documents signed between the internal ministries to combat with criminality.
Ambassador Fayziyev congratulated Usubov on National Salvation Day. Fayziyev hailed the country`s rapid development in all sectors. The ambassador said he would do all the best to expand relations even more between the two nations and the relevant structures.
