MONITORING HELD ON TROOPS CONTACT-LINE
Baku, February 2 (AZERTAC). In accordance with the mandate of special envoy of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, the OSCE mission has today conducted monitoring on troops contact-line near Tartar region.
According to Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense, during the monitoring some shooting was heard from the opposite side. The fact was confirmed by the OSCE representatives monitoring the Azerbaijani side.
Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk and his field assistants, who monitored the opposite side, the internationally recognized territory of Azerbaijan, also confirmed hearing the shooting. Kasprzyk claimed the sounds of the shooting came from a training ground on the Armenian side.
However, Azerbaijani officers near Borsunlu village said the shooting sounds did not come from the training ground, and that the fire was opened from the opposite side in the direction of Azerbaijan`s Armed Forces.
During the monitoring Armenia violated the ceasefire three times.
