Moscow marks legendary Azeri vocal quarter’s 50th jubilee

Moscow, June 7 (AZERTAC). A concert dedicated to the 50th anniversary of legendary Azerbaijani vocal quartet “Gaya” (“Rock”) was held in Moscow International House of Music`s Theater Salon.

Azerbaijani ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu made a speech at the opening ceremony. He congratulated Rauf Babayev, the only member of the quartet who attended the event. Polad Bulbuloglu highlighted his activity on continuation of the quartet`s traditions.

The ambassador also stressed the grandiosity of Eurovision 2012 held in Azerbaijan`s capital.

The participants watched a documentary on Gaya quartet by Javid Imamverdiyev. The performance of “Bari Bakh” (“Look here”) band aroused keen interest among the audience.
