PACE unveils spring session`s agenda
Baku, March 16 (AZERTAC). The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe has unveiled the agenda of spring session.
The session to be held on April 23-27 will feature a statement by the President of PACE, election of vice-presidents of the Assembly, changes in membership of committees, communication from the Committee of Ministers to the Parliamentary Assembly, presented by the Rt Hon. David Lidington MP, Minister for Europe, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, United Kingdom, representing the Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers.
The agenda includes election of judges to the European Court of Human Rights, gender equality and the status of women in the Council of Europe southern neighborhood, promotion of active citizenship in Europe, good governance and ethics in sport, protection of freedom of expression and information on the Internet and online media, decent pensions for all following the economic and financial crisis and other matters.
The agenda does not include any issue on Azerbaijan.
