PATRIARCH OF MOSCOW AND ALL RUSSIA KIRILL SERVES LITURGY IN BAKU
Baku, April 25 (AZERTAC). Visiting Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia KIRILL served a divine liturgy at the Jen-Minonoses cathedral on Sunday.
Present at the liturgy were Baku and Caspian bishop Alexander, diplomats and representatives of the Orthodox community.
Following a liturgy, Bishop Alexander thanked Patriarch for his care for the Orthodox community and Baku and Caspian eparchy.
Patriarch Kirill said he is here to join discussion on the interreligious dialogue and address existing problems in the world.
“I want to thank President Ilham Aliyev, my Muslim brothers and sisters for the Azerbaijan people`s warm attitude towards the Orthodox community,” said Kirill.
Kirill presented a crosier to the Bishop while the eparchy an icon depicting saint Maria to the Patriarch.
