Prince Harry expresses desire to reconcile with royal family

Britain’s Prince Harry has expressed his desire to reconcile with the royal family, saying resolving family disputes is important amid wider global challenges.
In an interview with GQ magazine recorded in New York in September and published on Tuesday, the Duke of Sussex said he wanted to improve relations with his family despite ongoing tensions.
"Some people don't want it to work out. I want it to work out," Harry said. "With everything else that's going on in the world, the most important thing is to reconcile - that's the key point," he added.
Harry acknowledged that the effects of past disagreements could remain, but encouraged people to move forward.
"Scars stick around forever. But what your perception is, and what your mindset is to those things that have happened, letting go of the past, that's something that I would encourage everybody to do."
He said unresolved family issues could be difficult to overcome when they continued to affect people's daily lives, adding that there was enough drama in the world without maintaining family disputes.
Harry and Meghan returned to the UK with their children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, in August, six years after stepping away from their roles as senior working members of Britain’s royal family and starting a new life in California.
In 2021, Meghan alleged that family members raised concerns about how dark their son Archie's skin tone would be, causing irreversible damage to their relationship with the Buckingham Palace.
Harry later described a "huge level of unconscious bias" within the royal family in a Netflix documentary series.
