Merchant ship attacked by drones near Bulgaria

Baku, October 28, AZERTAC

Three sea drones have attacked a container ship in the Black Sea, 21 nautical miles east of the coast of Bulgaria near Cape Kaliakra, Bulgarian Defense Minister Dimitar Stoyanov said on Wednesday.

Fishermen in the area reported that the ship was on fire. The vessel had serious damage to its starboard side, Xinhua reported citing the website maritime.bg.

The attack took place while the defense ministers of Bulgaria, Romania and Türkiye gathered in Sofia to discuss the security in the Black Sea region.
