Devlet Bahçeli: Azerbaijan–Türkiye relations are strong and unshakable
Ankara, October 28, AZERTAC
“The ties of brotherhood between Azerbaijan and Türkiye are so strong and historically significant that they transcend political and diplomatic issues and cannot be constrained by temporary developments,” said Devlet Bahçeli, Chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), one of Türkiye’s leading political forces.
He made the remarks in a statement marking the upcoming summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Ankara and the 35th anniversary of the independence of the organization’s member states.
According to Bahçeli, the brotherhood between Türkiye and Azerbaijan is unshakable, passed down from generation to generation and strengthened by the will of both peoples and their shared history of struggle. “The same can be said of all the fraternal states of the Turkic world,” he noted, emphasizing the importance of preventing any deepening of mutual misunderstandings.
“We must not allow seeds of discord to be sown among us. No disagreement should lead to long-term estrangement. Our fraternal ties are based on mutual respect and faith in our shared future. Every person in the Turkic world should contribute to preserving our historical proximity, avoid disagreements and refrain from actions that could weaken our future,” the politician underlined.
The MHP leader called for future generations to inherit a strong Turkic world.
