Queen Noor of Jordan receives International Nizami Ganjavi award
Baku, July 31 (AZERTAC). Queen Noor of Jordan has received the International Nizami Ganjavi award at a ceremony in Washington D.C.
Upon receiving the award, Her Majesty Noor said she was happy to attend recent South Caucasus Forum organized in Baku by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center and Club de Madrid under the patronage of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
"I was fascinated by the protection of ancient architecture and reflection of history in modern buildings in Baku,” she said.
Queen Noor said praised works by Nizami Ganjavi, calling him a great personality.
‘Ganjavi had his new approach to the history of the literary thinking. He contributed much to the intercultural dialogue,’ said Queen Noor.
“Having an irreplaceable impact on the society, Nizami was promoting peace, gender equality and equal rights for humans.”
The Queen of Jordan noted the Nizami Ganjavi International Center “gave a new impetus to the protection and promotion of Nizami Ganjavi’s treasure, though it has been established recently”.
