Tbilisi hosts South Caucasus security conference
Baku, March 23 (AZERTAC). The Azerbaijan`s delegation attended the two-day international conference on the security in the South Caucasus organized in Tbilisi by the UK and Georgian Foreign Ministries and UK`s Wilton Park Foundation.
The delegation included MPs Ganira Pashayeva, Asim Mollazade, employees of the Foreign Ministry. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Council of Europe, European Union, South Caucasus`s state and non-governmental organizations and experts for international security.
Pashayeva told AZERTAC security in the South Caucasus, European energy security were high on the agenda. The Azerbaijan`s parliamentary delegation updated the meeting participants on the developments in the South Caucasus region, role of Azerbaijan in the regional and European energy security, Azerbaijani lands occupied by Armenia. They noted that Armenia`s continuing to occupy Azerbaijani lands, disregard resolutions of the UN Security Council, Council of Europe, OSCE and other international organizations is a source of threat to not only the security of the region but also Europe.
