Regular session of the National TV and Radio Council was held on March 25. At session, the results of the monitoring, which have been carried out in February and March of this year, were discussed. It has been marked that recently in activity of separate broadcasting companies, a certain progress is observed in the field of use of the state language, and also increase in the volume of production. At the same time, at session it has been underlined that the programs have certain infringements of the law in the field of distribution of advertising.

It has been marked that in activity of the television companies ATV, ANS, SPACE and “Lider” in the field of distribution of advertising requirements of the Articles 35.4 (the interval of time between advertising blocks should be not less than 20 minutes), 35.5 (if art and television films proceed more than 45 minutes, they can interrupt advertising only in 45 minutes), 35.10 (advertising of alcoholic drinks and tobacco products on TV and radio is not supposed) and 36.5 (release of news and political information programs cannot prepare with the financial help of sponsors) Law of the Azerbaijan Republic “On TV broadcasting” were violated.

Under the unanimous decision of members of the Council, the ATV, ANS, SPACE and “Lider” TV channels were warned for the infringements of the law in advertising activity.
