UKRAINE NOT READY TO JOIN EUROPEAN UNION, AMBASSADOR BORIS KLIMCHUK
Baku, December 24 (AZERTAC). `Ukraine is today not ready for the European Union membership`, Ukrainian Ambassador Boris Klimchuk said.
“The EU membership perspective will oblige our country to work hard to adjust its laws to the EU legislation”, the Ambassador outlined.
The diplomat also said that next year Ukraine will sign a document on associative EU membership as part of the Eastern Partnership.
Asked whether the Ukraine would join the Customs Union (comprising Russia, Belorussia and Kazakhstan), Boris Klimchuk said he doubted it, as the country has already joined WTO.
