US` AZERBAIJANI EMBASSY MARKS NATO`s 61st ANNIVERSARY
Baku, April 29 (AZERTAC). The United States` embassy in Azerbaijan has hosted a ceremony to celebrate the 61st anniversary of NATO.
The event brought together representatives of diplomatic corps in Baku, high ranking officials of the Ministry of Defense, state and government bodies, and journalists.
Speaking to the ceremony, Donald Lu, the embassy`s Chargé d`Affaires, praised the Azerbaijan-NATO relations. He said they were rapidly developing.
Lu said NATO had realized military and civil reforms in Azerbaijan through its Individual Partnership Action Plans.
He noted Azerbaijan`s contribution to peacekeeping operations in Iraq, Kosovo and Afghanistan showed that a Muslim country can be a sustainable and reliable ally.
