Five dead in plane crash in India, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister among victims VIDEO

Deputy Chief Minister of the Indian state of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar was killed in a plane crash on Wednesday along with four other persons.
According to Indian media reports, the deputy chief minister was travelling in a privately operated chartered aircraft. Two pilots and two security personnel were also on board and lost their lives in the incident.
Ajit Pawar was the chief of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). His aircraft, travelling from the state capital Mumbai, reportedly attempted to make an emergency landing at Baramati. Shortly after the crash, local residents rushed to the site to assist rescue workers, while visuals showed the wreckage engulfed in flames.
Reports said the aircraft met with the accident while landing at Baramati Airport.
Preliminary information suggests the mishap occurred during the landing phase of the flight.
Indian authorities have launched a formal investigation to determine the cause of the crash. The exact reason, whether due to a technical failure, adverse weather conditions, or any other factor, remains unclear.
