Azerbaijani MP meets with Kazakh Minister of Science and Higher Education

Member of the Milli Majlis and Deputy Chair of the Committee on Culture Gunay Afandiyeva met with Sayasat Nurbek, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Science and Higher Education, during her visit to the country.
The meeting highlighted the historic significance of the elections to the Kurultai, Kazakhstan’s new unicameral parliament. The sides exchanged views on Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan relations, with particular emphasis on existing ties and prospects for further cooperation in science, higher education, and academic partnerships.
The importance of strengthening cooperation between universities, research institutions, and academic communities of the two brotherly countries was also emphasized, along with support for student and faculty exchanges, joint research projects, and other collaborative initiatives.
Gunay Afandiyeva noted that the historical, cultural, and spiritual ties between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan continue to develop on a strong foundation, stressing that cooperation in science and education makes an important contribution to the integration of the Turkic world.
The meeting continued with discussions on issues of mutual interest.
