Farewell ceremony held for Azerbaijani People’s Artist Tofig Bakikhanov

Baku, August 25, AZERTAC

Tazapir Mosque has today hosted a farewell ceremony for Azerbaijani People’s Artist Tofig Bakikhanov.

Family members, art figures, and representatives of the Ministry of Culture gathered to honor the memory of the People’s Artist.

The wreaths on behalf of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva were placed during the ceremony.

Prominent composer, educator, and Professor Tofig Bakikhanov, who passed away on August 23 at the age of 96, will be buried at the Second Alley of Honour.
