A new episode of the program "Azerbaijan and the World" has been released on the AZERTAC website. Host Tamilla Mammadova spoke with political scientist and former strategic policy adviser to the Romanian President, Iulian Chifu, about the prospects for Azerbaijani-Romanian cooperation and the importance of the Middle Corridor for Europe.
Noting the high level of bilateral relations, the expert emphasized that the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Romania rests on a solid foundation built over many years. He pointed out that cooperation between the countries has long exceeded energy and now encompasses areas such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, science, and investment.
He also highlighted the important role of SOCAR's activities in Romania and the significant potential for further expansion of economic cooperation. Furthermore, he noted that mutual support and close contacts between the heads of state remain a solid foundation for the partnership.
Speaking about the importance of the Middle Corridor, the expert stated that this route is becoming one of the most promising transport arteries between Asia and Europe. In his opinion, Azerbaijan and Romania are capable of playing a key role in increasing its competitiveness and reliability.
