Azerbaijan, Bangladesh mull migration cooperation
Baku, June 11 (AZERTAC). Chief of the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan Firudin Nabiyev has met with a Bangladeshi delegation led by Foreign Minister Dipu Moni.
Nabiyev briefed the delegation on the internal migration problems associated with displacement of over a million people from their lands as a result of the Armenia`s occupation of Azerbaijani lands.
Nabiyev noted that the political and economic stability in Azerbaijan was established in the country and Azerbaijan began to develop rapidly due to the forward-looking policy of national leader Heydar Aliyev who returned to power in 1993. He underlined that the country`s economy was dynamically developing, local and regional infrastructure projects are being successfully implemented, new jobs are being opened as a result of the successful policy pursued by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. Nabiyev pointed out that the operations of the State Migration Service have been brought in line with international standards.
Mrs. Dipu Moni said Bangladesh recognizes territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and supports the country on the Khojaly genocide issue. She found the need to cement cooperation in all fields, in particular, the political one.
The Minister underlined that the aim of the visit was to take bilateral relations forward and cultivate cooperation in the migration field too.
