Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan sign TRACECA Single Transit Permit Agreement

An Azerbaijani delegation led by Deputy Minister Javid Gurbanov, accompanied by National Secretary of TRACECA in Azerbaijan Fariz Aliyev attended the 18th Annual Meeting of the TRACECA Intergovernmental Commission in Astana, Kazakhstan.
In his remarks, Deputy Minister Javid Gurbanov highlighted Azerbaijan’s active role in TRACECA and ongoing efforts to develop the transport and logistics sector through simplified and digitalized transit procedures.
During the meeting, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan signed the TRACECA Single Transit Permit Agreement aimed at simplifying transit procedures among member states.
Expanded TRACECA cooperation and simplified transit procedures are expected to strengthen regional transport connectivity, improve the resilience of international logistics chains, and enhance the competitiveness of Europe–Asia routes.
During the meeting, Ministry official Vugar Orujov was awarded the TRACECA badge for his contribution to the organization’s activities.
