Azerbaijani Diaspora, American Jewish Committee discuss continuation of cooperation

Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora Fuad Muradov received Samuel Kligeri, director for Eurasian Affairs of the American Jewish Committee (AJC), and Yakov Abramov, head of the “Caucasian Jewish Cultural Center”.
Welcoming the guests, the Chairman of the State Committee expressed his deep condolences to the Jewish people regarding the recent escalation in Israel and the Gaza Strip.
Then, detailed information was given on the recent anti-terror measures carried out by Azerbaijan in Karabakh, the situation in Khankendi, and the reintegration conditions proposed by Azerbaijani side to the Armenian population of Karabakh. It was brought to attention that the Azerbaijani side did not target the Armenian population and civil infrastructure during the anti-terror measures, did not cause any harm to civilians, and these facts were confirmed by the UN mission that visited Khankendi and surrounding regions.
Expressing their gratitude for the warm reception, the guests have added that Azerbaijan, a country with rich multicultural values has a positive and strong influence in the region. The guests highly appreciated restoration of state sovereignty in the entire territory of Azerbaijan.
The meeting focused on the new proposals regarding effective continuation of joint cooperation and future projects with AJC.
