AZERBAIJAN`S TOURISM POTENTIAL ‘GROWING’
Baku, June 26 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan’s tourism and culture minister has praised the country’s tourism potential, saying it is “growing yearly”.
“The number of tourists coming in Azerbaijan has not decreased in comparison with the previous year,” said Abulfas Garayev.
“We`ve done a considerable job in developing our local tourism destinations. We`ve implemented a large number of infrastructure projects to develop tourism in our regions.”
The minister said: “Recently, we`ve sent a delegation of experts to Guba and Khachmaz regions, which are among the most attractive tourism destinations in our country, for inspection.”
Garayev also noted the decrease in tariffs of Azerbaijani tourism agencies this year, adding “it will be one of the boosting factors” to the country`s tourism industry.
