Azerbaijan’s tourism potential promoted in Türkiye

The representative office of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) in Türkiye organized a series of promotional events on April 13-17.
The program, which included the participation of 10 local representatives of the tourism industry, including the Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) CJSC, covered the cities of Izmir, Ankara, Mersin, and Istanbul.
During the events, which brought together nearly 500 tourism companies and media representatives from Türkiye, Azerbaijan was showcased as an attractive all-year-round tourism destination.
Participants were briefed about the available opportunities in city tours, shopping tourism, adventure and active recreation, culture, as well as business events.
The events also featured B2B sessions.
The program placed particular emphasis on the northern and northwestern tourism routes of Azerbaijan, showcasing the infrastructure and the potential for winter tourism in these areas.
The gathering held in Ankara was attended by representatives of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Türkiye.
In January-March 2026, the number of visitors from Türkiye to Azerbaijan increased by 13.5 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 105,265 people.
