BERLIN HOSTS EVENT ON KARABAKH CONFLICT
Baku, 4 February (AZERTAC). The Coordination Center of Azerbaijanis in Germany (CCAG) has organized an event on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in Berlin.
The goal of the event was to raise the awareness of the German public about the dispute which claimed 25,000 Azerbaijani lives and created over one million refugees.
CCAG`s Executive Director Samira Patzer-Ismayilova called the dispute “one of the bloodiest conflicts in history”.
She condemned the fact Armenia continued to reject four UN Security Council resolutions demanding withdrawal of its armed forces from occupied territories of Azerbaijan, describing it as what impedes international efforts to ensure long-standing peace in the region.
Patzer-Ismayilova also expressed regret over the fact “the 20-year-long efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group, which deals with the problem, were fruitless”
Hayko Langner, a German political analyst, shared his views on possibilities of settling the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
