National Depository Center transfers IT systems to the "Government Cloud"
Baku, November 5, AZERTAC
The implementation of Decree No. 718 by President Ilham Aliyev, dated June 3, 2019, regarding the creation of the Government Cloud (G-cloud) and the provision of cloud services, continues. The National Depository Center is the latest state institution to transfer its information systems and resources to the "Government Cloud."
The National Depository Center's systems have been migrated to the Baku and Yevlakh Data Centers operated by "AzInTelecom" LLC, under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. This migration ensures high availability for its critical systems. "AzInTelecom" LLC has also provided cloud services to the Azerbaijan Tourism Board, including Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) for virtual servers and Backup-as-a-Service (BaaS) for backup solutions. The National Depository Center has been equipped with Microsoft products licensed by SPLA.
It is important to note that "AzInTelecom" LLC is the organization responsible for the "Government Cloud" project, which involves the full or partial migration of IT systems from state institutions to its data centers in Baku and Yevlakh. This migration reduces current IT costs and increases the productivity of information systems. Additionally, it enhances the security of information systems, establishes a stable and sustainable IT infrastructure, and facilitates high-quality services with prompt coordination and 24/7 monitoring.
"AzInTelecom" LLC is the first organization in Azerbaijan and the South Caucasus region to obtain the international compliance certificate "TIER III." It operates two data centers located in Baku and Yevlakh, both of which meet the standards of "ISO 20000," "ISO 22301," and "ISO 27001" certifications.
