US CONGRESSMEN BACK KAZAKHSTAN`S OSCE SUMMIT PROPOSAL

Baku, February 3 (AZERTAC). US congressmen support the idea of holding OSCE summit in 2010, according to the Kazakh Foreign Ministry`s press service.

OSCE chairman-in-office, Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Kanat Saudabayev Kanat Saudabayev addressed the US congress, stressing the need for the Helsinki Commission to further support the proposal of President Nursultan Nazarbayev to hold the OSCE summit.

Chairman and co-chairmen of the commission as well as members of the congress emphasized that the proposal needs to be considered carefully and realized. Members of the congress sent the special messages to presidents of both countries.
