President of Azerbaijan signed an order on measures related to Gala State Historic and Ethnographic Preserve in Baku`s Gala settlement
Baku, December 23 (AZERTAC). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an order on measures related the Gala State Historic and Ethnographic Preserve in Baku`s Gala settlement.
Under the Order, aiming at ensuring the Gala Reserve management by modern methods on the basis of international experience, the head of state ordered yesterday to withdraw the Reserve from the Ministry`s authority and transfer it under the authority of Department of State Historical-Architectural Reserve “Ichari Shahar”.
The Ichari Shahr Dept is instructed to take measures to endorse its new structure, strengthen the material and technical base of Gala Reserve, protect its territory, and develop tourism there. The measures should also relate to creation of Gala Reserve`s new facilities, services and household plots, restoration of natural landscape, restoration and conservation of historical and cultural monuments.
By another order aimed at achieving those objectives the President of Azerbaijan allocated AZN 1 million from the Presidential Reserve Fund of State Budget 2011 to the Ichari Shahar Department.
The Ministry of Finance will undertake financing procedure, while the Cabinet of Ministers will resolve the relevant issues.
