Baku, August 31, AZERTAC
Another group of students who will continue the third and fourth years of their bachelor’s studies at Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT) under the dual-degree program jointly implemented by Baku Engineering University (BEU) and BUCT has departed for the People’s Republic of China. With this, the departure of all 37 BEU students to China for the 2026/2027 academic year has been completed.
Starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, the students will continue their studies in relevant specialties at BUCT. The implementation of the dual-degree program between BEU and BUCT began in 2025. As the first bachelor’s-level dual-degree program between higher education institutions of Azerbaijan and China, it covers six specialties: “Chemical Engineering,” “Computer Engineering,” “Mechanical Engineering,” “Chemistry,” “Biotechnology,” and “Business Administration.”
Under the program, which is based on a “2+2” model, students complete the first two years of their studies at BEU and then continue their third and fourth years at BUCT. During this period, they benefit from the academic opportunities offered by both universities, develop their theoretical and practical knowledge in their respective fields, and gain experience in an international educational environment.
Graduates who successfully fulfill the program’s requirements will be awarded bachelor’s degrees by both BEU and BUCT. The BEU-BUCT dual-degree program contributes to expanding higher education cooperation between Azerbaijan and China and to training highly qualified specialists.
