89th anniversary of Azerbaijan`s national leader marked in Berlin

Baku, May 11 (AZERTAC). The Azerbaijani embassy in Germany jointly with Azerbaijanis Coordination Center held an event to mark the 89th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev in Berlin.

Ambassador Parviz Shahbazov told of life and political activity of the national leader. Shahbazov said basis for the European integration policy was laid and successfully realized during Heydar Aliyev`s presidency.

Germany`s former ambassador Claus Grevlich recalled his meetings in Baku with Heydar Aliyev. He characterized Heydar Aliyev as world-known political figure, who had kept interests of his country above all.

The event brought together the officials, representatives of mass media outlets. The participants saw the books dedicated to Heydar Aliyev`s life and political activity.
