AZERBAIJAN, JORDAN: AL-ROUND COOPERATION CONTINUES
Baku, May 15 (AZERTAC). In comparison with the last year, the foreign trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Jordan has increased by 38,5 percent. The two countries cooperate in versatile fields. The history of bilateral relations between the two has commenced yet during the soviet period.
Despite opening of Azerbaijan`s embassy in Jordan in 2006, the two states have close cooperation in all fields. Evidence to that is signing of over 30 agreements between the countries. During this period President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and the King Abdulla II of Jordan have met 4 times, having thus organized 3 business forms between the entrepreneurs of both countries in Baku and Amman.
Along with that, Jordan has arranged national goods exhibition in Baku. And current year, on 12 May, Azerbaijan and Jordan have signed another document stipulating military cooperation. Humanitarian co-op is also at high level. Last year, the days of culture of Jordan passed in Baku. The Azerbaijan-Jordan Friendship Society is functioning in Jordan.
