Baku, 23 November (AZERTAC). To impede peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Armenia intentionally drags out the negotiation process, Azerbaijani defense minister Safar Abiyev told U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russia, Ukraine and Eurasia Celeste Wallander and member of the UK Parliament`s House of Lords Viscount Waverley on Monday.

Discussions during separate meetings with U.S. official and UK MP built upon bilateral relationship, the current situation in the South Caucasus region and Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.

Celeste Wallander and Viscount Waverley underlined the necessity of resolving the dispute on the basis of Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity.
