Azerbaijan Army holds military oath-taking ceremonies

In accordance with the training plan for 2024 approved by Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, the military oath-taking ceremonies for young soldiers were held in the Azerbaijan Army on November 8, the Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.
The ceremonies were declared open after the battle flag was brought to the parade ground in accompaniment of military orchestra.
First, the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, and martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, was honored with observing a minute of silence. Then the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
The recruits solemnly took the military oath and promised to be loyal to the Motherland.
At the events, representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the command staff of military units delivered speeches, emphasizing that the military oath-taking ceremonies are held on 8 November - Victory Day. They highlighted the historic importance of the victories achieved in combat operations and advised the young soldiers to remain vigilant in defending the Homeland and to fulfill the assigned tasks faithfully.
New recruits promised to be loyal to the Motherland, the state, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief and military oath, to serve in an exemplary and disciplined manner, study the secrets of weapons and equipment in detail, improve combat training, as well as fulfill the orders of the command staff timely and accurately.

During the ceremonies, cultural events promoting military patriotism were also held on the occasion of 8 November - Victory Day with the participation of military personnel and public representatives.
