Azerbaijan, Bulgaria: exhibition on 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations
Baku, July 7 (AZERTAC). Visiting Bulgaria, Azerbaijani Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev met with the vice president of the Bulgarian National Assembly Tsetska Tsacheva and participated at the opening ceremony of an art exhibition devoted to the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria held in Bulgarian National Assembly.
The event organized by the Inter-parliamentary friendship group and Azerbaijani embassy in Sofia was attended by the Bulgarian officials, members of the friendship group, representatives of various political parties represented in the law-making bodies of the country, senior officials of the Council of Ministers, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as Friendship Group delegation from Azerbaijan, headed by co-chairman Siyavush Novruzov and deputies Mahir Aslanov, Rauf Aliyev, chief adviser to the International Relations Department of the Milli Majlis T. Tagiev and the embassy staff.
The event featured historical documents, presented by the Bulgarian Archives State Agency, photos reflecting high-level bilateral visits and various materials.
The attendees of the exhibition familiarized themselves with the materials on Azerbaijan`s history, culture, economy and tourism potentiality.
Within the exhibition, participants have also had an opportunity to taste national dishes of Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijani folk songs sounded during the event.
As a part of visit, Azerbaijani culture and tourism minister has also met with the Bulgarian Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism (MEET) Delyan Dobrev and Culture minister Vejdi Rashidov to discuss prospects and opportunities for expansion of cooperation in cultural sphere between the two countries, mainly widening of cooperation in the field of cinematography.
During the meeting, the sides expressed their willing to develop joint projects aiming to attract tourists, exchange experience in the training of students, conduct reciprocal cultural days and widen cooperation in the field of cinematography.
Azerbaijani minister has also visited the Bulgarian National Historical Museum.
