Azerbaijan, Israel: expansion of cooperation discussed
Baku, April 23 (AZERTAC). Foreign minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov met with Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman who is on an official visit in Baku.
The foreign ministers noted successfully developing relations between the two countries in versatile fields.
Noting economic development in Azerbaijan, the Israeli minister stressed necessity of widening these relations.
Lieberman stressed expansion of contract-legal ground between two countries, hailing election of Azerbaijan as the UN Security Council’s non-permanent member. According to him, the two countries have to deepen bilateral cooperation within the international organizations.
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov informed his colleague on the current state of negotiations to peacefully solve the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
A number of other questions of mutual concern were focused on either.
