Azerbaijan Milli Majlis speaker meets chairperson of Bulgarian National Assembly
Baku, May 14 (AZERTAC). Speaker of Azerbaijan Milli Majlis Ogtay Asadov has met chairperson of the National Assembly of Bulgaria, Tsetska Tsacheva.
First they met in private. Then, the meeting continued in presence of delegations.
Asadov said Azerbaijan-Bulgaria relationship had old history. He praised the level of political relations between the two countries.
The Speaker noted good potential exists to expand bilateral economic cooperation, increase trade turnover.
Asadov expressed belief that high-level reciprocal visits would create good opportunities for expansion of bilateral ties.
The speaker also underlined the role of parliaments in development of Azerbaijan-Bulgaria relations.
Asadov also briefed Mrs.Tsacheva on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
For her part, Tsetska Tsacheva said high-level meetings would contribute to strengthening relations between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria. She said “our main purpose is to develop bilateral ties.” The chairperson also stressed the role of parliaments in expansion of cooperation between the two countries.
