AZERBAIJAN PARLIAMENTARIANS PARTAKE AT PA BSEC REGULAR SESSION
Baku, 23 November (AZERTAC). A delegation of the Azerbaijan Parliament headed by Speaker Ogtay Asadov took part at the 34th regular session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC).
Following the PA general session, some organizational questions were discussed. Speaker of Russian Duma Boris Gryzlov said the questions on agenda are of certain significance for both separate countries and the region as a whole. He, in particular, dwelled on strengthening of legal ground for cooperation in economic, social, ecological, use of natural recourses and other fields.
The general discussions included important questions as international transport corridor, energy security in BSEC countries and Europe.
Speaker of Azerbaijan Parliament informed about the steps his country takes for energy security in the modern global world. At his words, Azerbaijan`s oil and gas strategy promotes economic development of the country and also plays notable role in Europe`s energy security. Ogtay Asadov reminded the existing conflicts in region hampering regional development.
