AZERBAIJAN, RUSSIA: BORDER COOPERATION DISCUSSED
Baku, 21 October (AZERTAC). Delegations of the Interior Ministry of the Republic of Azerbaijan led by Minister colonel-general Ramil Usubov and of the Russian Federation led by Arkady Yedelev have met in Azerbaijan`s border town of Khachmaz to discuss the questions of ensuring public safety, expansion of border cooperation in fighting international terrorism and transnational organized crime.
The ministers noted that effective activity of both departments base on goodwill neighboring and friendly policy pursued by the presidents of Azerbaijan and Russia.
At their words, the border services have to be ready to adequately respond any challenge and threat of international terrorism and transnational organized crimes.
Interior minister of the RF Dagestan Autonomous Republic colonel Ali Magomedov stressed necessity of raising efforts in combat against terrorism and extremism.
Meeting participants have signed relevant protocols on future cooperation on borders, ascertained concrete organizational-practical actions in this field.
