Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev`s 89th anniversary marked abroad
Baku, May 11 (AZERTAC). The 89th anniversary of Azerbaijan`s national leader Heydar Aliyev has been celebrated in various countries of the world.
The Azerbaijan Society in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has held a solemn ceremony to mark the 89th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
Addressing the event, chairman of the Azerbaijan Society Samir Imanov praised national leader Heydar Aliyev`s role in development of the country.
Samir Imanov noted that Heydar Aliyev is the author of the global projects, such as Baku-Novorossiysk, Baku-Supsa and Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipelines, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipeline and Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line.
UAE`s newspaper “Al Bayan” has published Samir Imanov`s article on national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Jordanian capital Amman celebrated the 89th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev on Thursday.
Representatives of Azerbaijan Embassy in the country, Mayor Office of Amman, Azerbaijan- Jordan Friendship Society and the Committee of Azerbaijani Women under it planted 30 new acacias in the prospect named after Heydar Aliyev in Bader region of Amman.
Azerbaijani ambassador to Jordan Elman Arasli made a speech on national leader Heydar Aliyev`s life and activity stressing his irreplaceable services to the country.
Mohammed Annab, Deputy Mayor of the Greater Amman Municipality, in his turn, highlighted Azerbaijani-Jordanian bilateral relations stressing the existence of avenue named after Heydar Aliyev in Amman and street after late King Hussein in Baku.
Elman Arasli`s article called “Heydar Aliyev - the Founder of Modern Azerbaijan” has been published in Jordanian newspaper “Ad-Dustour”.

Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Tabriz has organized an official reception in occasion of the 89th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
The ceremony was attended by Iranian officials, employees of the Turkish Consulate-General in Tabriz and others.
Opening the reception, Azerbaijani Consul General in Tabriz Ali Alizade updated the participants on national leader`s role in the development of Azerbaijan and his successful continuer President Ilham Aliyev.
The event also featured demonstration of a documentary on Heydar Aliyev, books and magazines on Azerbaijan`s truths and printing materials in the Persian language on successful result of national leader`s policy.

A round table entitled “The personality of Heydar Aliyev” in the museum after him in Gumilyov Eurasian National University was organized by Azerbaijan Embassy in Kazakhstan.
The event brought together representatives of Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan Friendship and Culture Association, teaching staff of the higher schools, members of Astana-based Azerbaijani Cultural Centers Union, prominent public and political figures of the country and journalists.
Azerbaijani ambassador to Kazakhstan Zakir Hashimov delivered a speech on national leader.
The participants watched a film on Heydar Aliyev by Vagif Mustafayev.

Employees of the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in St. Petersburg and representatives of Azerbaijani Diaspora there paid tribute to bas-relief of national leader on occasion of the 89th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev on Thursday. They put flowers in front of the bas-relief.
Participants made speeches on national leader Heydar Aliyev.
The bas-relief of Heydar Aliyev was erected in 2005 in Gorokhov Street and President Ilham Aliyev attended the ceremony.

A ceremony to mark the 89th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev was arranged by Consulate General of Azerbaijan to Batumi on Thursday in Sheraton Hotel.
Azerbaijani Consul General Huseyin Najafov informed participants on Heydar Aliyev`s life and activity. He also praised the election of Azerbaijan as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council and underlined the country chairs the council.
Chairman of Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara Mikheil Makharadze congratulated Azerbaijani people on the occasion of national leader`s 89th anniversary.
A photo exhibition and a film were demonstrated in the event dedicated to Heydar Aliyev`s life and activity.
Ajara`s TV Channels “Ajara TV” and “TV 25” aired the event and Consulate-General `s interview.

Azerbaijan Embassy in Morocco held an event marking the 89the anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev on Thursday.
The event attended by members of the Morocco-Azerbaijan Friendship Society, employees of diplomatic corps of Russia, Ukraine and Asian countries in Rabat ad representatives of communities.
The event participants laid a wreath at the monument of Heydar Aliyev in the foyer of the Azerbaijan Embassy.
Azerbaijani ambassador to Morocco Sabir Agabayov made a speech on life and activity of Heydar Aliyev in the event. He also noted the activity of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, successful continuer of national leader`s policy.
The participators viewed an exhibition featuring photos, books, booklets and albums on Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijan.

Heydar Aliyev`s 89th anniversary was commemorated in the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Istanbul.
Wreaths on behalf of Şişli Municipality Mayor Mustafa Sarıgül and General consulate were laid on the monument of Heydar Aliyev in Fulya province.
