AZERBAIJANI STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN INDONESIAN ART AND CULTURE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Baku, October 19 (AZERTAC). The students of the international relations department of the Azerbaijan University of Languages Leyla Haziyeva, Khanim Aliyeva and Elmir Badalov participated in the 2009 Indonesian Art and Culture Scholarship program administered by the Indonesia Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to the Azerbaijani embassy to Indonesia and Philippines.
Youngsters from 31 countries including Azerbaijan attended a concert on “one world, different cultures, one future” in the Indonesian city of Solo.
Leyla Haziyeva became a winner of the Indonesian applied art contest. A picture prepared by her was presented to the Foreign Minister of Indonesia Hasan Wirajuda
During three months, Azerbaijani students learnt the culture and languages of Indonesia and popularized Azerbaijan through newspapers and TV channels.
Ambassador of Azerbaijan Ibrahim Hajiyev met with the students to congratulate them on their education accomplishments
The event was attended by Indonesian Foreign Minister Hasan Wirajuda, Mayor of Solo, diplomatic corps in Jakarta, and representatives of media and public.
