Azerbaijani U23 wrestler crowned world champion

Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler Shamil Zubairov (92kg) has won a gold medal at the Senior U23 World Championships in Bucharest, Romania after beating Russian Aslanbek Sotiev.
On the way to the final, Zubairov defeated Armenian Sargis Hovsepyan, Kazakh Iliskhan Chilayev, Indian Sunil Kumar and Ukrainian Bohdan Hrytsay.
It is Azerbaijan`s first gold medal in the history of the Senior U23 World Championships.
Another Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler Murad Suleymanov bagged bronze in the 86kg weight category.
