AZERBAIJAN`s MAMMADYAROV ATTENDS NATO FOREIGN MINISTERS` MEETING
Baku, December 11 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov has attended the NATO Foreign Ministers` meeting in Brussels.
The meeting, chaired by Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt, focused on current state of the Eastern Partnership program.
Addressing the event, Mammadyarov stressed the importance of simplifying visa issuing procedures among
European Union member countries.
He also touched upon Azerbaijan`s international commitments, saying bringing its legislation to European standards was among key priorities for his country.
On the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, the Azeri minister stressed the continuation of the dispute and occupation of Azerbaijani territories impede the development of the Eastern Partnership program.
