Azerbaijan`s Mammadyarov draws with Russian Predke at FIDE Grand Prix Belgrade

Baku, March 4, AZERTAC

Azerbaijan`s grandmaster Shahriyar Mammadyarov has been held to a draw by Russian Alexandr Predke in Round 3 of the Belgrade leg of FIDE Grand Prix, increasing his points to 1.5.

The FIDE Grand Prix, organized by World Chess, is a 3-event series that features 24 players, each of whom competes in two out of three tournaments. Each 16-player event consists of a group stage followed by a knockout semifinal and final.

Two winners of the series will qualify for the Candidates Tournament that will take place later in 2022. The prize fund for each event is €150,000.
