Baku, December 4 (AZERTAC). Defense minister of Azerbaijan Safar Abiyev has met today with participants of the “We are heirs of victory” international campaign on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945.

The minister said the campaign was realized in Azerbaijan under President Ilham Aliyev`s relevant decree.

Abiyev briefed the participants on heroism demonstrated by Azerbaijanis in the war. He also spoke of the process of army building in his country.

Head of the “We are heirs of victory” international campaign`s headquarters Viktor Yermakov thanked Abiyev for the “warm welcome” and presented him with a decoration.
