AZERI ENVOY TO INDONESIA MEETS HEAD OF PARLIAMENT`S REGIONAL HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
Baku, 30 November (AZERTAC). Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Indonesia Ibrahim Hajiyev has met today Irman Gusman, new head of the parliament`s regional house of representatives.
The ambassador briefed Gusman on the ongoing reforms in Azerbaijan, the country`s geo-strategic position and Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Touching upon relations between Azerbaijan and Indonesia, the diplomat noted they are developing rapidly in all spheres. He added the volume of trade turnover between the two countries made up more than $1 billion.
Hajiyev stressed the necessity of opening Indonesia`s embassy in Azerbaijan in terms of strenghtening bilateral relationship even more, and asked Gusman to support the issue.
Gusman, in turn, praised the “ongoing development process” in Azerbaijan.
He vowed to make every effort to contribute to opening Indonesian embassy in Azerbaijan.
The ambassador handed over books to Gusman featuring Azerbaijan`s history and culture, as well as history of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
