Baku hosts Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan business forum
Baku, February 23 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani and Kazakh business people have come together in Baku to discuss prospects for boosting the bilateral cooperation.
The business forum is supported by the Ministry of Economic Development and organized by the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation, AZPROMO.
It brings together a total of 100 businessmen from the fields of construction, engineering, light and food industries.
Addressing the event, Azeri deputy economic development minister Niyazi Safarov noted there was a legal basis for expanding relations between the two countries.
Aktobe Region Governor Arkhimed Mukhambetov said Kazakhstan was interested in expanding relations with Azerbaijan.
President of AZPROMO Adil Mammadov, Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Investment Company Afgan Isayev and Deputy Governor of Aktobe province Roza Kemalova also delivered speeches at the event.
The forum culminated with the signing of a memorandum of understanding on mutual cooperation between the Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Aktobe Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
